Norman and Pat Patterson have served God at Harvest Baptist Church with their musical talents since 1989.

Norman and Pat Patterson have served God and HBC as Minister of Music since 1989.   With Pat’s talent at the piano and organ and Norm’s beautiful singing voice God has used them to bless the hearts of every listener.

Music is a very important part of worship and is used of God to inspire, to calm, and console, and also to motivate us in living and serving our Great God.   The music while being worshipful, is lively, inspiring, and satisfying to listen to.   The style of music is looked at very carefully and is presented to accent the message and encourage God’s people to live “soberly, joyfully, and holy” in this present world.

Brother and Sister Patterson have been in church music for fifty years.  Pat’s background includes Cincinnati Conservatory of Music, and the writing and arranging of music for Cantata’s and Norman’s extended experience in singing and leading choirs lends to a great team which blends the old fashioned favorites, the great hymns of the church, and some of the new melodies of the Gaithers and many others.

Norman as Worship Leader directs the Adult Choir, Leads Singing, and along with Pat they oversee the Children’s and Youth Choir Ministries, and our well known “5th Sunday Sing.”   There’s a place of service in music for you.

Nathan and Kristy Ham and family have been at Harvest Baptist since February 2010.  Nathan will be taking over as Pastor in September 2010.

Nathan Ham was born in a little town called Dalby, Australia.  When he was 10 years old, Nathan came to America with his parents, Ken and Mally Ham, as missionaries.  His father, Ken Ham, heads up the Answers in Genesis ministries in the Northern Kentucky area and is the founder of the creation museum.  Nathan's family came over as a special type of missionary - Creation Evangelists, calling the church in America back to the authority of the Bible from the very first verse.  Being raised in such a ministry atmosphere has given Nathan a unique style of Bible preaching and teaching.  Nathan attended Bob Jones University for 4 years and graduated with a degree in Computer Science.  It was after graudation, when Nathan worked as Systems Administrator at his father's ministry, that God started working on his heart about full-time ministry as a pastor.

Kristy was born and raised in the Cincinnati area.  Her parents, Frank and Donna McNeill, are Godly parents who have always served in church anywhere they go.  Years ago, they were intimately involved and served with Landmark Baptist Temple and Dr. John Rawlings.  Currently, Frank is a deacon at First Baptist Church of Milford, Ohio, under Pastor Bill Duttry.

Nathan and Kristy were married August 15, 1998, by Pastor Tim Schelling at Northern Kentucky Baptist Church.  Nathan served as a deacon at that church for 6 years and served with his father-in-law in the bus ministry for several years.  Through personal studies, mentoring, visits, and other training under the pastor and assistant pastor at this church, Nathan started his ministry training.

In 2006, Nathan and Kristy started attending First Baptist Church of Milford, under Pastor Bill Duttry, to continue his ministry training.  Nathan served on the Leadership Committee, taught adult Sunday School, led services at a nearby senior retirement home, soul-winning and visitation, and many other areas of service and training.

They have 3 beautiful children - Malachi, Kathryn, and Noah - all of whom have trusted Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour.  Nathan and Kristy both trusted Christ at early ages but many years later both settled doubts by getting assurance of their salvation.

February 2010 has led Nathan and Kristy to Harvest Baptist Church on the west side of Cincinnati for the purpose of working with Pastor Tom Hall and praying that God uses them to increase His church on this side of town.  After a three month trial period, the church voted unanimously to make Nathan Senior Pastor starting September 2010, which will be the 22 year anniversary of Pastor Hall.

Jacob and Lauren Norton are leading the teen group at Harvest Baptist Church.

Jacob Norton was born in the great state of Michigan. He was raised in a Godly Christian home by his parents Larry and Judy Norton. His dad led him to Christ when he was six years old on a Wednesday evening. When he was 10 years old, his family moved to Loveland, Ohio where his family still currently attends First Baptist Church of Milford. His parents have served faithfully in various ministries throughout the church. Jacob also served in the Jr. Church ministry for two years and began training for youth ministry after being called to preach on September 18, 2007.

Lauren Norton was born and raised in the Cincinnati area. Her parents, Frank and Donna McNeill, raised her in a Christian home where she trusted Jesus as her Savior at the age of 6. Her father, Frank, currently is a deacon at First Baptist Church of Milford, and also teaches the singles Sunday school class. Lauren has served in the Jr. Church program at First Baptist and also sang in the adult choir on Sunday mornings and evenings.

Jacob and Lauren met in high school at Milford Christian Academy (a ministry of First Baptist Church of Milford). They quickly became best friends and after two and a half years, were married on October 17, 2009. With their first child on the way, they are excited to be starting a family of their own.

Shortly after marriage, Jake and Lauren began seeking where God might have them serve. In February 2010, they began to pray about heading up the youth department at Harvest Baptist Church. On May 16, 2010, they joined the church and have been teaching the teens ever since. Their prayer is that God will use them to raise up young teenagers to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ, and to continue the great ministry here at Harvest Baptist.
